PLA-CF drying temperature: three official examples

Creality, Polymaker, and Bambu Lab each publish a 55°C PLA-CF reference, but the documented times and conditions differ. That agreement makes 55°C a useful screen for these three examples—not permission to apply one cycle to every PLA-CF spool.

Can most filament dryers reach 55°C?

Yes on paper: every dryer in this site's cited consumer database has a stated ceiling of at least 65°C. Airflow, control, timer, spool fit, and storage become the useful differentiators.

Does drying make PLA-CF safe for a brass nozzle?

No. Moisture control and abrasion resistance solve different problems. Polymaker instructs users of its PLA-CF to use a hardened nozzle.

Decision: match the exact maker's time and method. Do not average the three times, and do not increase temperature to shorten the cycle. Polymaker lists a 64°C Vicat softening temperature for PolyLite PLA-CF, which reinforces the need to protect the filament and spool from excess heat.

    Compare the same geometry and settings. Improvement supports the moisture hypothesis; no improvement means other causes remain open.

    Protect the dried spool.

    Move it to the maker's recommended dry storage and keep the abrasive hardware requirement separate from moisture control.
